I know how I don't usually blog about things that go on in my school. So here's a little peek in my Wednesday class. Aside from camwhoring in class and have silly girl talks over lunches, we spent most of the time "mock writing" for the school paper and have to come up with and article of 250 words about the "new school rule" implemented by MOE about students.
Had so much fun writing it and subconsciously wrote it with the tone and flavour similar to my writing style on this blog. So I decided to share this love with my readers! (I don't think it's fantastically written, but I do think it's very much like something I would blog about in terms of how it was written) By the way, my module is "Development Journalism".
They like it long.
The new dress code ruling by MOE has got many on their toes. Despite the tropical climate, students are required to wear clothes of a certain length or standard. This has sparked an outrage among the student community, and we wish to give our two cents worth.
So …you’re going into depression because you can’t wear clothes that show off half your ass or flaunt your leg hair. Great, keep on whining and the rule set by MOE will magically be lifted.
And no, it’s not like we agree with the ruling, but what can we do? Everyone else here in the newsroom are full-fledged students, and is also trying our best to adapt to this crisis, always know this, that you are not alone.Come on, it’s not like it’s the end of the world. Look at it this way, the ministry is doing you a favour. It gives you a chance to challenge your creativity, to turn “restrictive” clothes to start a new fashion trend. So whoever says that boring clothes cannot be “fun” has obviously never seen the ability of RP students.Don’t risk the possibility of getting barred from your exams, just because you “feel” like unleashing your inner “beast”. Use this opportunity to understand the dressing standards of your future workplace. Do you think you can stroll in your office wearing slippers and shorts? Well not unless you’re working for yourself. For now, bring out the maxi skirts and dresses, the boot-cut jeans and ruffles. Don’t let your dressing be the reason why you’re not allowed to score what you deserve on the papers.
Remember, If you can’t beat the rule, work around it.
Oh besides the boring article, I just want to give you a little insight on how my handwriting looks like....

Here's presenting my classmates, Jolene and Rachel! <3
With this, you can conclude a typical school day for a RP student. I think you can expect me to blog about school more often since it's my very last semester here in Republic Polytechnic. Till then, I will see you again.
