Wanted to shelf this occasion from the blog, but after much thought, I have decided to share my experience at the OCS Commissioning ball, on Thursday at Shangri-la Hotel Orchard. I went with a friend as his date, haha to be honest, I fussed like mad about the outfit. It was told that the dresscode was formal, and after asking around to those who have went before, they told me it's super "kua zhang" one! Man.... I kinda regretted agreeing after that much fuss and uncertainty if I would make a good date. But nevertheless, I decided to just go and heck care what would people think about me! Hahahaha. Gosh, I can be so reckless.
My date for the ball, Colby, came to get me at my place before heading out together to the event. Everyone's so pretty and smartly dressed, which kinds of makes me nervous LOL.... Despite the fact that I have attended countless events, I went only as the media, so this exposure is quite new to me...
We arrived like, SUPER EARLY (hahaha) so we just sit around the lobby talking about nonsense. The rest is kinda self explanatory with photos! :) Actually I uploaded them on facebook too, but I kinda only allow access to friends. So here is for the readers!

We had a great dinner, although I was still hungry after that LOL. But as usual, the dates are acting photographers for the guys there, so we just keep taking photos of them and their friends... (Since it will most probably their last time seeing each other, since they will be posted to their own vocation)

Hanged around and saw Shumei with Yongliang! (She was YL's date) Hehe what a pleasant surprise!! I am so happy to see both of them! Took some Polaroids and photos before parting ways with both of them.

The event ended with people started leaving and some last minute shots of the newly appointed officers.

Ended the night with lots of polaroids, a bouquet of sweet blue roses, a memorable experience, some new friends, lovely memories and an understanding on how things in the army works.. (at least the basics).
PS : Some people have difficulty understanding certain context that I have already mentioned in the first paragraph. Just to clarify, Colby is not my boyfriend. He is a friend. Hope it clears up some stuff.
