I just bought tickets for my sister for the BIG BANG ALIVE TOUR 2012 in Singapore. One tickets costs $228... which is pretty insane, and she even bought other big bang merchendizes like their super over priced light stick, all their albums, all their posters... She's a crazy fan lol. But she's not the only one around, and certainly not the worst.
There are many people in Singapore who has an Idol or a Role model they go crazy over at least once in their lifetime. Some perhaps more than others, but that's not the main point. Considering the K wave, many have fallen into the arms of gentle looking idols that are so bloody handsome and pretty. (That, I do admit)
Since I was a child, I have never particularly liked any boy bands or idolized any artists. Many of my friends say that I am lacking a childhood because it is a part of growing up. But to me, I never felt that there was a need to idolize them, and the reason is simple, they are just humans. Perhaps I was a very snobbish child who is full of myself. But my point is, I agree that they are good at singing, I agree that they dance well, I just cant bring myself to like them in a way that the fans do. I just don't get it.
There are many fans who get upset when their Idol finds a partner and start bashing up the couple. Seriously? I really do not understand lor. What has their personal life got to do with you? It's not like your they are going to get together with you anyway. Give some some space to breathe!
But then I start to understand, perhaps the reason why they Idolize them is because their music is relatable? ... I'm not sure, but i have learnt to respect other people's decision when it comes to their own options.
I do not Idolize anyone, but surely, there are certain singers that I like more than others, but never
once have I go all the way to purchase their merchandize or watch all
their Interviews or MTVs or even go to the airport just to have a
glimpse of them. You can consider me a person who is very hard to please
when it comes to liking someone I entirely do not know.
As most people who know me knows, Taylor Swift is my favourite as of now, along side with a few others because I admire her personality and music. She is a kind soul who has a good heart. I do not see the need to own any of her stuff, from concert tickets to fragrances, but I do not mind having them. (Please understand the difference in "like" and "idolize")
I received the Taylor Swift fragrance from sweetheart because I have been wondering how it smells like.
It's like, got ah? ok lor good. Don't have ah? also okay lor no big deal.
It comes with a bracelet, which designs are specifically handpicked by Taylor herself. I have yet to opened it but had sniffed the sample and felt like it has notes of sweet pineapples/fruits and tea? Its a very sweet smelling scent lying more towards youth and gentleness. I like it, because I am always a fan of fruity sweet fragrances.
But I am very thankful to Sherman for buying me a gift unexpectedly :)
Toodles!
