Singing at it's best.

K Suites

As a Singaporean, I have been to many places for Karaoke. I had my fair share of singing in different types of environments. I have been to crappy small tiny rooms with not much ventilation, overly air-conditioned rooms with horrible sound system and some of which, their mics are faulty. I think Karaoke is a part of every Singaporean’s life, and an enjoyment for many people.

Speaking of which, Edwiana happen to see a voucher online having an offer of $18/pax for 3 hours @ K Suites. Looking at the website, we decided to purchase the voucher to give it a shot! It was super pretty looking!! And we booked a slot on Sunday afternoon.

Due to all the rushing in the morning, I have forgotten to bring a camera for the day! But thankfully, Edwiana’s Canon 550D is somewhere in her bag, ready to save the world!

The room looks pretty cute, although it’s not as grand as expected, because I stupidly referenced it from the pictures on the website. The carpeted floors of the room were dark and dirty although you can only really see it when you look a little closer. I guess it is what happens when you have beige colour carpeted floors free for all soles to trample on.

The room + Denise the extra

The machine where you pick your songs.

The cool thing about the lights underneath the sofas is that it changes colour like, every minute or something. Lol, Quite cute la. And I think the reason for having yellow lights is that so the room doesn't look so "dirty" in white light. Just my assumption!

Pretty Menu! Love the colour!

Double Screen + Computer in room

The room even has a computer with webcam installed! Yummz! Now those who are not singing can surf tumblr/twitter/news while waiting for their turn!

Nevertheless, the sound system was quite delightful to the ears. It is so loud and clear that I actually got freaked out by my own horrible singing. They say I sound like I’m speaking English when I’m actually singing Chinese songs. They are just that mean. (Hahaha I’m kidding)

We are entitled one free drink as stated on the voucher – that’s nice right?? But to our dismay, most of the drinks that are available ran “out of stock”. Not too sure if we’re unlucky or…. unlucky.

Bedroom Slippers.... Guess which feet belongs to me!

But what I love about the place is that they provide bedroom slippers for you to wear and pounce around the seats while singing like as though you actually own a concert.

When we were done with Karoke, we went to town to grab lunch before filming Hazel’s “birthday video”. Hazel’s 21st surprise birthday video is basically getting strangers to wish Hazel happy birthday via video and compile 21 videos together to present to her!

3 happy people

Yummy Eye Candy~

Posing for Singtel street campaign lol.

Love the Canon 550 ! Its one of the cameras that most people have, and I can see why, it's easy to use, great for both beginners or professionals. I think Edwiana has been using her camera for a few years now. And it still produces great pictures! Haha it was fun using her camera snapping non stop. I'll remember to bring my own camera the next time round so i wouldn't have to take the pictures from facebook!
